Deaf Football Player Dreams of Going Pro
Munir Muwwakkil is a relatively unknown defensive tackle for Edward Waters College, in Jacksonville, FL, but like most football players, he'd like to make it to the NFL. But should he fulfill that dream and be introduced before a game, Muwwakkil will never hear the crowd's response to his introduction.

Jan 04, 2009: 01:00 PMI was very surprised to see this news. Thank you very much. I am Munir's mom and I am very happy to see the Deaf community follow the news of Munir. It has been a hard a touch road for him but he is a better person for not given up.

Oct 07, 2008: 10:00 PMIf you have ever watched the movie the "Replacements" they have an actor that plays a deaf football player. I see no reason why he could not. I hope and wish that he does go pro! Follow your dreams Munir!
